The addition of MoS2 to PA6 results in an increase of rigidity, hardness and dimensional stability. The additive also lends the material improved sliding friction properties. PA6+Mos2 rods are made of a cast nylon material which using the filler of MoS2 results in an improvement in the degree of crystallinity, bringing a higher degree of strength to the cast polyamide, still without any noticeable degradation of hardness. Increasing the crystallinity of this PA 6, the Mos2 filled Polyamide also results in better surface hardness and improved abrasion properties compared to standard cast PA 6.
