Pulley blocks give direction to the rope while loaded; they are able to increase the line pull or lifting capacity of a hoist or winch by multiplying the number of lines.The Chain Block is a mechanism used to raise or lower heavy loads with relative ease. The internal gears of the Chain Block wind the chains around, lifting the object that is attached to the end or hook. This means that very little force is required to lift large, heavy loads of up to 30,000 kg.A chain pulley is a simple mechanical tool to make the physical act of lifting objects much simpler. Consisting of a linked chain, a metal housing and several gears, a chain pulley uses physics and geometry to increase lifting efficiency.The thumb rule you should follow here is this – measure the height of the lift. Make sure that the load chain length is equal to the lifting height and hand chain is almost two feet less than the lift length. For example, if the length of the lift chain block is 20 feet, then that of the hand chain should be 18 feet.
