The Off Line Doubling Machine is a system for yarn doubling and plying operations. It is capable of a production rate of 500 kg/hr plus it uses 96 spindles for large scale textile facilities. As an automatic system built by APPL, it operates on 415 V at 50 - 60 Hz. Due to the way it functions, the machine produces yarn where the twist is equalized and the tension of the strands is the same across the material. By using automation, the machine requires less physical work from people but also it allows for fast transitions between tasks. In addition to those features, the system prevents the yarn from snapping and ensures that very little material is discarded during continuous runs.
