A gravity feed metal detector, also known as a drop through metal detector or a free fall metal detector, is designed to detect metal contamination in continuously flowing free-falling granules or powders, such as sugar or flour, plastic granules or gravel, tablets or capsules.A search coil on a very low frequency or VLF detector emits a low-frequency electromagnetic field into the ground. Eddy current responses are then used to determine the presence of metals. When this field comes into contact with metal, it creates a secondary field that's picked up by the coil.The gravity method is a type of feeding where formula flows out from your feeding bag and into your feeding tube by the force of gravity pulling the formula in a downward direction.
