Oilon is a self-lubricating engineering plastic made from nylon that's filled with oil. It's also known as oil-filled nylon. Oil Filled Nylon is a special formulation of liquid lubricant encapsulated during manufacturing which provides for true lubrication at the bearing surface. This is a cast nylon with built-in oil lubrication.Oil-filled nylon is an engineering plastic which offers increased load-bearing performance when compared to unfilled nylon products. For example, oil-filled nylon provides 25% lower friction when compared to standard cast Nylon 6.Properties Lubrication: Oilon is self-lubricating and has a lower coefficient of friction than unfilled nylon Wear resistance: Oilon has better wear resistance than unfilled nylon and bronze Moisture resistance: Oilon has reduced moisture Load-bearing performance: Oilon has increased load-bearing performance compared to unfilled nylon Uses Oilon is used in chain guides, bearings, wear pads, cams, conveyor parts, gears, and can mandrels. Manufacturing Oilon is made by casting nylon with an oil-based lubricant The lubricant is distributed throughout the profile and doesn't drain, spin, leech, or dry out Available Colour - Green
