Scrub sinks, also referred to as surgical sinks or medical sinks, are vital to keeping Operating Rooms (ORs) up and running, and are imperative to the health and safety of patients. They serve as the scrub station for surgeons and other OR staff to scrub their hands and arms before a surgical or invasive procedure.The objectives of the surgical scrub are: To remove soil and transient microbes from the hands and forearms. To reduce the resident microbial count to as low a level as possible. To inhibit rapid rebound growth of microbes. place in a hospital next to an operating room, where doctors and nurses get ready for operationsvThe basic principle of the scrub is to wash the hands thoroughly, and then to wash from a clean area (the hand) to a less clean area (the arm). A systematic approach to the scrub is an efficient way to ensure proper technique.Consider the correct size- the standard sink size and dimensions are about 22 inches long to 30-33 inches wide.
