The Nexans Euromold P480TB is a screened, separable tee-shaped plug-in connector designed to terminate medium and high-voltage polymeric (XLPE/EPR) insulated cables.Technical Specifications Voltage Classes: Up to 42 kV (Um). Current Rating: Standard 630 A, extendable to 1250 A when used with appropriate bushings (Interface C1 and C2). Interface Type: CENELEC EN 50180 and 50181 Interface C (Compact bolted type). Conductor Sizes: Supports cross-sectional areas from 50 mm² to 240 mm² (some variants up to 300 mm²). Insulation Diameter: Typically covers ranges between 12.0 mm and 40.5 mm. Kit ComponentsA standard termination kit typically includes components for three phases: EPDM Body: Comprising a conductive insert, an insulating layer, and a thick conductive jacket that provides a safe-to-touch "screen". Electrical Contacts: Conductor contact (bolted or crimped) and a clamping screw (430 TCS). Sealing & Insulation: Cable reducer, basic insulating plug (800BIPR), and a conductive rubber cap. Installation Materials: Silicone grease, wipers, installation instructions, and earthing lead. Key Applications Equipment Connection: Used to connect cables to transformers, switchgear (GIS/RMU), and motors. Cable-to-Cable: Can facilitate cable-to-cable connections when used with appropriate mating parts (like coupling connectors). Environmental Versatility: Rated for indoor use as standard; outdoor applications require the +MWS suffix for additional water-sealing.
