Product Details
The Advance Upto 400 Deg. C Melt Flow Index Tester measures how molten thermoplastics flow. The heater holds any point between ambient and 400 °C and shows it in 0.1 °C steps - the display stays within ±0.1 % of full scale. A 2.16 kg and a 5 kg weight, both hard-chrome-plated, sit on the piston to copy factory pressures. The unit runs from 230 V AC, 50 Hz, 4 A. A steel frame keeps the barrel and the weight guide rigid so the orifice stays aligned. The timer starts and stops through a digital switch - the cut off piston gives slices at set intervals. Labs use the data to read the grams per ten minutes that leave the die - the number fixes the grade for injection or extrusion. The parts that touch polymer meet ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133.
