A weighing scale is a device that is used to determine weight. Weighing scales can be divided into two primary types: spring scales and balances. Spring scales measure weight using Hooke's Law, which deforms in proportion to the weight placed on the load-receiving end.Weighing Scale is a device used to measure the weight of person and it is among the common used device by doctors. The weighing scale has two major variants, the mechanical and the digital weighing scales. The mechanical scale features a rotating dial which indicates the weight.From the least to the most mathematical, the scale types are nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio. Nominal scales have no arithmetic properties. Ratio scales have all three of the arithmetic properties. Or- dinal and interval scales fall in between nominal and ratio scales.
