This alloy, composed of copper with tin (for strength and corrosion) and a small amount of phosphorus (as a deoxidizer, enhancing wear resistance and stiffness), is fabricated in various tempers (e.g., Spring Hard, Half Hard) and is indispensable for manufacturing critical, reliable components in high-stress environments, including electrical connectors, relay and switch contacts, fuse clips, diaphragms, springs, bushings, and marine fittings.
