An injection molding machine (also spelled as injection moulding machine in BrE), also known as an injection press, is a machine for manufacturing plastic products by the injection molding process. It consists of two main parts, an injection unit and a clamping unit.Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic addition polymer, which is used predominantly in injection molding applications. PP is inexpensive and easy to access, and due to its semi-crystalline property it possesses a high flexural strength.An injection molding machine is comprised of four main components: the base, the hopper, the barrel, and the clamping unit. There are also smaller components such as the nozzle, ejector pins, split mold, clamping unit, injection unit and hydraulic unit.
