Description
A pulse jet dust collector is a suction and filtration system. As dust-laden air is drawn into the system, filter media will collect dust, while clean air is discharged from the collector. Compressed air is applied in reverse pulse to clean the filter media.A pulse jet bag filter, also called a pulse jet baghouse or pulse jet dust collector, is a self-cleaning dry filtration system. The pulse jet dust collector cleaning system removes particulate matter and dust from the surface of internal filter media with bursts of compressed air.Bursts or pulses of compressed air clean the bags. These travel down the length of the bag and dislodge the dust. Because the pulse of air travels very quickly down the bags, the baghouse is cleaned without taking it offlineFive common types of dust collection equipment are fabric filter baghouses, inertial separators (like mechanical cyclones), cartridge collectors, wet scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators. Baghouse dust collectors come in various designs and are the most commonly used system because of their 99% efficiency.
