The grain cleaning unit is used for separation of grain, cereal, oil, leguminous, and other agricultural crops.It is the basic machine in the wheat cleaning plant. It removes the impurities on the basis of three physical properties- size, shape, and density. The typical air-screen cleaner consist of a four-screen machine located beneath a seed hopper, it is widely found in a farm seed-cleaning plant.Grain cleaning will improve the drying, the storability of grain, reduce dockage at time of milling, and improve milling output and quality; while, seed cleaning will reduce damage by disease, and improve yields.Cleaning grain means removing all the materials other than the grain. This could be sand, stones, straw, weeds and so on. After cleaning, the grain is usually put in bags to get transported to the place of drying (this is called bagging).
