A pipe extrusion line consists of different parts. An extruder converts raw plastic material into a continuous tubular melt by extrusion through an annular die. The molten pipe then proceeds through a sizing or calibration bench (which adjust its dimensions) to a cooling tank.Plastics extrusion is a normally high volume manufacturing process where a polymer material, enriched with the desired additives, is melted and formed in a continuous process. The raw material (polymer) in the form of granulates, is gravity fed into the hopper and through the feed throat, drops on a rotating screw.PVC is an ideal material for use in plastic tubing. Due to its chemical and corrosion resistances, exceptional flexibility, and outstanding flow characteristics, much of the plastic tubing produced today is made of PVC.
