Key Features and SpecificationsAccording to TE Connectivity/Raychem documentation and product listings, the HVOT tubing offers the following features: Material: It is made from a non-halogen-based polymer which has excellent performance in high voltage environments and reduces noxious and corrosive effects in fire situations. Non-Tracking Property: The material is specifically engineered to be non-tracking, which means it resists the formation of conductive paths (tracking) on its surface when exposed to environmental conditions and high voltage, as per standards like ASTM D2303. Application: It is primarily used as a red, non-tracking tube in outdoor heat-shrinkable termination kits for polymeric and MIND paper-insulated cables, suitable for voltage classes from 7.2 kV up to 42 kV. Environmental Protection: It provides excellent environmental protection for high voltage cable accessories. Dielectric Strength: It offers excellent insulation properties, with a high dielectric strength.
