A refrigerated container or reefer is an intermodal container (shipping container) used in intermodal freight transport that is capable of refrigeration for.Refrigerated containers, also called reefer containers, are used for goods that need to be temperature controlled during shipping. Reefer containers are equipped with a refrigeration unit that is connected to the power supply on board the ship.Cold air blows from the refrigeration unit through the vents at the bottom of the reefer and all the way to the back doors. The warm air at the top of the container flows back to the refrigeration unit over the cargo, where it chills for return to the interior.Refrigerated goods are goods whose usability and economic value depend on certain temperatures during storage and transport due to their sensitivity. For this reason, they are transported in cold chains with specially equipped vehicles and loading units.
