Simply put, roller conveyors are a form of conveyor belt that utilizes rollers - evenly-spaced rotating cylinders - to allow objects to skate across its surface. They move material from one place to another destination, and often leverage gravity or implement small motors to do so.Powered roller belts are also called motorized roller belts, RollerDrive belts, Power Moller belts, and Microroller belts. They connect a motorized roller to a group of six to ten slave rollers, called a zone. Usually the motorized roller is in the center of the zone, but on inclines it is at the top end.Roller conveyors are normally used in environments such as warehouses or manufacturing facilities due to the nature of transporting goods. Using a roller conveyor can add versatility to the type of transfers, diverters, and stops that can be used as part of a conveyor system or automation system.
