Characteristics Features of each type
There are 10 types of WI Water-stops. A water-stop of proper dimensions and shape can be selected according to each requirement. By shape, water-stop can roughly be classified into two categories, the Dumbbell types and Corrugated types.
The Dumbbell types include the Flat Dumbbell Type (1) which is applicable to structural joints and for which there are no strict requirements for its water-stopping effects, and the Dumbbell Center Bulb Type (2) applicable to flexible joints. The corrugated types include the Corrugated Center Bulb Type. Type (3) is applicable to sections where flexibility small, and Type (4), having a large canter bulb, is applicable to sections where flexibility is great. The bending Type (5) is applicable for panels with right angle bends. Spectacles Type (6) is best for concrete structures having curved faces, such as a tunnel.
