Product Details
Wire Diameter Compatibility SAW nozzles are sized to match the welding wire diameter. Common ranges: e.g., 1.6 – 5.5 mm (1/16″ – 7/32″) per some SAW torch specs. For twin-wire SAW, nozzle geometry depends on two-wire arrangement. Insulation Type / Material Nozzles may have ceramic insulation: e.g., in Miller / Hobart SAW torches, ceramic insulation is rated up to 350 °C. For some high-temperature nozzles, alumina (Al₂O₃) ceramics are used. Other ceramics: silicon nitride (Si₃N₄), zirconia, etc., depending on design. Nozzle Length / Shape In SAW torches, there are "short" and "long" nozzle models. For example: short = 220 mm, long = 360 mm for some single-wire torches. Nozzle shape affects flux flow, access, and cooling.
