While they are physically and functionally interchangeable, the "B9" version features a major internal technology upgrade. 1. The Key Difference: Hall Sensor vs. Potentiometer A9 Version: Used a double conductive plastic potentiometer for position feedback. Potentiometers are mechanical and can wear out over thousands of cycles. B9 Version: Uses a Hall Effect sensor (magnetic) for position feedback. Since there is no physical contact, it does not wear out, leading to significantly higher reliability and a longer service life. 2. You must perform a "Reference Run" via the AZL52 display to calibrate the zero-point. Why the B9 is Better In high-cycle industrial applications, the original A9 potentiometers could eventually develop "dead spots" or signal noise.
