The Siemens LFL series (e.g., LFL1.333, LFL1.635) is an electro-mechanical burner management system designed for gas, oil, or dual-fuel burners of medium to high capacity. It is primarily used for intermittent operation, meaning the burner must have at least one controlled shutdown every 24 hours. 1. Primary Model Comparison The models differ mainly by their timing sequences (t_1 = pre-purge, TSA = safety time). Model Pre-purge (t1) Safety Time (TSA) Application Note LFL1.122 10 sec 2sec Preferred for flash-steam generators. LFL1.322 36 sec 2 sec Standard for medium-sized burners (50Hz). LFL1.333 31 sec 3 sec Common in Central Europe (Germany/Austria). LFL1.635 66 sec 2.5 sec High capacity burners requiring long purge. 2. The symbols on the dial indicate the exact point in time and the cause of the fault: P: Loss of air pressure signal. blacktriangle: Extraneous light or flame signal during pre-purge. 1: Failure to form flame during the first safety time. 4. Connection Terminal Highlights The LFL uses the AGM41 plug-in base (24 terminals). Terminals 1 & 2: Line and Neutral. Terminal 3: Fault/Alarm output (Remote lockout signal). Terminals 6 & 7: Control of the Fan (Combustion air blower). Terminals 12 & 14: Air Pressure Switch connection. Terminals 16 & 17: Ignition Transformer and Pilot Valve. Terminal 18 & 19: Main Fuel Valves (Stage 1 and 2). Terminal 22: Ground for flame detector shielding. Important Note: If the LFL is used at 60 Hz}, all timing sequences (pre-purge, etc.) will be approximately shorter than the values listed for 50Hz
