The Siemens LME44 is a dedicated microprocessor-based burner control for atmospheric gas burners of small to medium capacity. Because atmospheric burners rely on natural draft rather than a mechanical fan, the LME44 sequence is simplified—omitting air pressure supervision and fan motor control. 1. Key Model: LME44.190C2 While the LME series is vast, the LME44 is primarily standardized into one specific timing configuration: LME44.190C2: 230V AC version (standard in Europe/Asia). LME44.190C1: 120V AC version (standard in North America). The controller focus is purely on the ignition transformer and the gas valves. Operational Phases (LED Status) The LME44 uses a multicolor LED in the reset button to communicate its current state: Steady Yellow: Unit is waiting for a startup signal or is in the pre-purge phase. Flashing Green: Ignition is active and the safety time ($TSA$) has started. Steady Green: Flame is established; burner is in normal operation. Steady Red: Fault/Lockout. 5. Diagnostics (Red LED Pulse Codes) If the burner stops and the button is solid red, press the button for $>3$ seconds to activate the "Blink Code" sequence: Number of Red Flashes Meaning Typical Cause 2x No flame at end of $TSA$ Faulty gas valve, empty gas line, or dirty electrode. 4x Extraneous light Sunlight/Ambient light hitting sensor or internal short. 7x Loss of flame Low gas pressure or dirty ionization rod. 8 / 9 / 10x Internal Fault Faulty LME44 unit or wiring error.
