Slider bed conveyors are conveyors that do not necessarily have the belt supported by rollers but instead the belt “slides” along a solid surface. This surface can be either steel or a specialty material such as UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene).Slat conveyors consist of endless chains, driven by electric motors operating through reduction gears and sprockets, with attached spaced slats to carry objects that would damage a belt because of sharp edges or heavy weights.Our Model RB Hytrol conveyors are designed to move heavier loads and more durable than traditional slider belt conveyors. By using rollers as the bed surface, roller bed conveyors reduce friction between the belt and the frame. These conveyor systems are great for assembly, inspection, and packing.Here's an overview of the three most frequently utilized and effective belt splices – finger splicing, skive splicing, and clipper splicing.There are two basic types of conveyors: powered and gravity.
