A spiral conveyor is a broad term used to describe two kinds of material-handling conveyor equipment, each which falls under a separate material handling The Spiral conveyor is a compact and versatile elevating solution. Spiral can be designed to carry product between floors and machines or over aisles. Designed with a uniform slope, the Spiral conveyor ensures smooth operation without disturbing the product.Screw conveyors use a rotating screw within a tube or trough to push materials from one place to another, following a horizontal, vertical or inclined path. In contrast, spiral conveyors use a traditional belt-based system to either escalate goods up or down in one twisting motion.Spiral conveyors transfer loads up and down quickly and efficiently, without interrupting the conveying process or extra manual handling or transfers to other equipment. They're ideal for mezzanines, multilevel buildings, or elevated conveyor lines.Common types are belt, roller, motorized roller and overhead conveyors. We categorize them as floor style (mounted on the floor) or overhead. Use them to move products, create buffers and deliver products in sequence for a production line.How do conveyor systems work. Typically, conveyor systems consist of a belt stretched across two or more pulleys. The belt forms a closed loop around the pulleys so it can continually rotate. One pulley, known as the drive pulley, drives or tows the belt, moving items from one location to another.
