Refrigerated containers, also called reefer containers, are used for goods that need to be temperature controlled during shipping. Reefer containers are equipped with a refrigeration unit that is connected to the power supply on board the ship.It is a type of inter modal freight container of a refrigeration system. While being stationed on a land-based site, reefer containers need an external power supply. During transit, they can be powered by diesel generators. Reefer containers can achieve a temperature range of -65℃ to 40℃The inner walls of reefer containers are made out of stainless steel; the floor is stainless steel or aluminium. Due to this and the ventilation, there really is no actual possibility of water damage. The floor of the container can either be flat or equipped with a gridiron.
