The Stainless Steel Hydraulic Home Elevator moves people between floors of a modern house without effort. The car and frame are stainless steel with a chrome plated surface that resists rust plus wipes clean. Fifteen passengers fit inside - large houses and upscale apartments use it without crowding. A hydraulic pump supplied by 240 V, 50 Hz pushes oil into a cylinder - the piston raises the car at one metre per second but also lowers it at the same steady rate. A separate machine room beside the shaft holds the pump, valve block and control box - steel guide rails, overspeed valve, rupture valve as well as door interlocks protect riders each trip. The lift runs year after year with scheduled seal changes and oil checks.
