This grade is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, and versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Key Features of Stainless Steel Rod 304: Material Composition: The primary composition of 304 stainless steel includes: Chromium: 18% Nickel: 8% Carbon: 0.08% max Manganese: 2% max Silicon: 1% max Phosphorus: 0.045% max Sulfur: 0.03% max The high chromium and nickel content provides excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Mechanical Properties: Tensile Strength: Approximately 70 ksi (480 MPa). Yield Strength: Around 30 ksi (205 MPa). Elongation: About 40% in 8 inches, indicating good ductility.
