Roomali Roti is a thin and soft bread that has its roots of origin in the Indian subcontinent. It has been given the word 'roomali' because of its structural similarity with 'roomal' which means handkerchief. It is also quite popular in Pakistan and is called Lamboo Roti, which means long in Punjabi.Roll to thin rotis having 11 to 12 inches diameter. Do not add too much flour while rolling. Add only enough flour which will help in rolling.It is eaten with tandoori dishes. The word rumal means handkerchief in many north Indian languages, and the name rumali roti means handkerchief bread.
