A Surface Plate Vibrator is a machine designed for compacting soil, asphalt, and similar materials. ... A plate vibrator can be used to lay the foundation for roads, sidewalks, and any other areas that need to be overlaid with material. The plate vibrator is also used when trying to impact embankments for canal usage.Surface vibrators are used for floor and roof slabs and pavement surfaces. These are effective only up to a thickness of 150 mm of concrete but can be used up to 250 mm. The surface vibrator causes the movement of the fine particle to the top and hence adds the finishing operation.Immersion or Needle Vibrators are most commonly used vibrator for concrete. It consists of a steel tube (with one end closed and rounded) having an eccentric vibrating element inside it. This steel tube called poker is connected to an electric motor or a diesel engine through a flexible tube.
