Tensile structures typically use less material than tension fabric buildings which result in a much lighter structure. While they can be used to create entire buildings, tensile structures are more common for intricate design work or landscaping features.This consists of heating the thermo-plastic element in the fabric coating using electromagnetic waves to soften them and bond the two layers of fabric together. Advanced welding technology allows us to create an even strength across the length of the weld and a bond which will withstand extremely high tensile loads.Tensile membranes carry tension with no compression or bending, supported by a lightweight structural system. Made of coated PES, ETFE, PTFE, or PTFE coated fiberglass, the tensile membranes can span large distances and take on a variety of shapes.The term “tension fabric” essentially means a fabric cover stretched over a rigid frame. The material is designed to fit the design of frame it is being pulled onto. Tension fabric is very durable and made from a few different materials.
