UV coating, is a surface treatment process where liquid UV ink is applied to a printed paper surface and cured on a special machine (autoprint fine coat series) using ultraviolet light. The coating hardens or cures when it is exposed to the ultraviolet radiation.A UV coating (or more generally a radiation cured coating) is a surface treatment which either is cured by ultraviolet radiation, or which protects the underlying material from such radiation's harmful effects.UV curing materials offer many benefits compared to room temperature or heat curing chemistries. They are primarily used for the protection and sealing of electronics, glass, metal, plastic, and ceramics. UV curing materials are typically solvent-free, one part systems that require no mixing or purging.Curing is the last step in the powder coating process before parts are packaged and shipped. During the curing process, the powdered coating becomes hard and uniform, creating a smooth, durable surface that will resist wear in many commercial applications.
