They are especially useful in situations requiring fast pump down times and in circumstances where other pumps cannot be used due to energy usage or environmental concerns.Booster pumps boost pressure improving the flow rate. A booster pump works just like a fan with blades that spin to increase air movement with an impeller that increases flow and pressure.Vacuum pumps are simply compressors that take in gas at a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, compress it, and discharge the gas at atmospheric pressure. Since gas at low pressures has a large volume, vacuum pumps tend to be bulky.A vacuum pump's main function is to change the pressure in a contained space to create a full or partial vacuum either mechanically or chemically. Pressure will always try to equalize across connected regions as gas molecules flow from high to low to fill the entire area of that volume.Booster pumps increase pressure inside the system to accelerate the flow of fluids. They are particularly effective in delivering pressurized water to high-rise buildings, manufacturing complexes and other large facilities.
