Rotational molding (also called rotomolding or rotational casting) is a process for manufacturing seamless hollow plastic parts for a variety of applications ranging from liquid storage tanks to containers of various shapes. Consumer products such as furniture, playground equipment, and toys are made by this technique.Roto Moulding is a method for moulders that produces intricate and complex plastic products. In rotomoulding of a tank, the production involves a heated hollow filled with a charge or shot weight of material.The rotational molding process is quite simple: A hollow mold is filled with powdered plastic resin. The mold begins rotating bi-axially and is transferred into an oven. The mold continues to rotate as the resin melts and coats the walls of the mold. The mold is cooled until the resin hardens into the desired shape.A water storage tank holds clean water from your reverse osmosis system until a demand for water is initiated in the house or business. Water is pumped into the tank from the water source, like a well or a reverse osmosis system. The tank accumulates water until it is full.
