· Filter holders are decorously designed to support the membrane against the applied pressure differential. · This holder is of 142 mm diameter Membrane filter. · The membrane holder in combination with membrane filter are used for sterile filtration of pharmaceutical and biological solutions. · On a Production scale a 142 mm holder is used. · The selection of the holder Depends upon the volume of the liquid to be filtered in a day. · The 142 mm Dia holder is made of S.S. 316 and are supplied with removable legs. · The filter support screen is offered in S.S. with polished surface. · The inlet and outlet connections are of sanitary design on these larger Models for ease of cleaning and maintenance. · The holder is provided with air vent valve. · This valve has to be opened to release any air that could be trapped in between and may offer resistance to the flow of the liquid during the process of filtration. · The sealing rings can be offered in silicon and grip knobs are provided to tighten them. · The membrane filter support screen has an under Drain support. · A flow deflector under the top plate ensures even distribution of the Liquid flow. · A back pressure support screen may also be supplied as an optional accessory to protect the filter against reverse accidental flows (always use a pre-filter while using back pressure screen)
