1. General Information Type: Cast-in-situ Reinforced Cement Concrete Swimming Pool Applications: Residential, Farmhouses, Resorts, Hotels, Sports Complexes Design Standards: IS 456:2000 (Plain & Reinforced Concrete) IS 3370 (Concrete Structures for Storage of Liquids) ACI 318 (Structural Concrete) Design Life: 30–40 years (with proper waterproofing & maintenance) 2. Site Preparation & Excavation Excavation Depth: As per approved pool drawings (allowing for base slab & tile thickness) Base Preparation: 150 mm well-compacted sand layer or lean concrete base PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) 1:4:8 mix, thickness 75–100 mm 3. RCC Structure Concrete Grade: M25 or M30 (with waterproofing admixture) Walls & Base Slab: Base Slab Thickness: 200–300 mm (as per design) Wall Thickness: 150–200 mm Coping Beam / Ring Beam at top for stability Reinforcement Steel: Fe500 TMT bars Bottom Slab: Double mesh reinforcement (typically 10–12 mm bars @ 150–200 mm c/c) Walls: Vertical & horizontal reinforcement @ 150–200 mm c/c Formwork: Smooth shuttering plywood / steel plates to achieve fine finish 4. Waterproofing Integral Waterproofing: Admixtures mixed in concrete (e.g., CICO, Fosroc, Sika) Construction Joints: PVC water stops (150–230 mm wide) installed in slab & wall joints Surface Waterproofing: Cementitious slurry coating (2–3 coats) Optional PU/Epoxy waterproofing for premium finish Leak Test: Hydrostatic testing by filling pool with water for 7–10 days 5. Plastering & Internal Finishes Waterproof Plaster: 15–20 mm thick (1:4 cement-sand mix with waterproofing compound) Tile Finish: Glass mosaic tiles (premium option, 20×20 mm size, 4 mm thickness) Anti-skid ceramic pool tiles (economical option) Tile joints filled with epoxy grout (water-resistant) Alternative Finishes: Epoxy paint / PVC liner (budget options) 6. Deck & Surrounding Area Deck Width: Minimum 1.2 m wide all around Finishing Options: Non-slip ceramic / vitrified tiles Kota stone / granite Wooden or WPC (outdoor decking) Deck Slope: Away from pool (1:60) for surface drainage
