Given their lightweight, sturdy yet workable fibreglass design, GRP tanks provide safe storage for water without the risk of corrosion or contamination from bacteria.Fiberglass tanks are actually fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) that is, they are plastic tanks that have been reinforced with fiberglass, similar to the way that rebar strengthens concrete. There are two methods for making these tanks: the chopper gun method and the filament winding method.FRP tanks can be used to store petroleum and other fuels, water and waste water, chemicals, food products and other materials.
