Bio toilet is a decomposition mechanized toilet system which decomposes human excretory waste in the digester tank using specific high graded bacteria (aerobic or anaerobic) further converting it into methane gas and water.We manufacture Bio-Digesters that require no sewage-line connection or additional septic tanks for disposal of black water or waste from toilets. The Bio A Bio-Toilet is a complete waste management solution which reduces solid human waste to Biogas and pure water, with the help of a bacterial Inoculum, DRDO bio-digester technology uses Psychrophile, a type of anaerobic bacteria. With a ability to survive in cold temperatures (up to -55 degree Celsius), this bacterium is used extensively in the technology. This bacterium helps in degrading human faecal waste in an eco-friendly manner.Adopting the 'anaerobic bacteria' the first of its kind in railway systems in the world the Indian Railway (IR) has installed the bio-toilets in 79,269 passnger coaches during 2021-22 ,which prevent fall of nearly 2, 74,000 litres human excreta on tracks every day, These bio-toilet systems meet the need for a basic, easy-to-install and hygienic human waste disposal mechanism in areas with no infrastructural facilities, such as sewage treatment plants. It also addresses the need for a cheaper and easy-to-operate alternative to the traditional waste disposal system.
