Iron removal plants can be based on different filtration media, depending on the iron and manganese concentration, the oxygen level, CO2 content and hardness of the water. Plant principle: First, air is injected in order to oxidize the iron. The oxidized iron will then precipitate on a sand filter.SENCO is a CSIR approved manufacturer of Iron Removal Plant from India that works on catalytic oxidation and filtration technology. The high content of iron in water has negative effects on hair and skin and will lead to corrosion in the pipelines.These elements can be removed during softening with lime, but most commonly iron and manganese is removed by filtration after oxidation (with air, potassium permanganate, or chlorine). Gravity and pressure filters are both used, with pressure filters being the more popular.
