The Agarwood(hydro) oil distillation plant, Capacity: 5 TPD from Mech O Tech LLP processes five tonnes of raw material each day. It extracts agarwood oil through hydro distillation, a method that uses steam to separate the essential oil from the wood. The plant operates on a semi automatic cycle and is manufactured in India. Steam passes through shredded agarwood, lifts the volatile compounds plus condenses the mixture so the oil layer separates from the water. Motors and heaters run on stable electric supply but also variable frequency drives let the operator set exact speeds for pumps and agitators. The entire unit needs little electricity, which keeps running costs low for producers who work with herbs or spices. Every vessel, pipe as well as valve that contacts the material is built from stainless steel - this metal resists corrosion and allows easy cleaning so the plant meets hygiene rules.
