Drum mixing plant is a continuous type of asphalt plant. It does all its process in a continuous manner. Heating of aggregate is done inside a drum. Inside the same drum, mixing with bitumen and filler material takes place. The ready hot mix asphalt is then loaded into silos or waiting trucks.=An asphalt batch mix plant starts its work by heating and weighing aggregates, followed by heating and weighing bitumen. The batch mix is then considered with filler material, and towards the end, aggregates, filler material and bitumen are mixed to create a hot mix of asphalt.Standard functions of an asphalt drum mix plant include combined weighing and measuring aggregates before pouring them into the mixing drum. The next step is to heat the mixture and add bitumen and other filler material to the same rotating drum.
