Flame cutting is oxygen cutting in which the appropriate part of the material to be cut is raised to ignition temperature by an oxy-fuel gas flame (definition from BS 499:Part 1:1991 Section 7 No. 72 002). Also known as oxy-fuel cutting, the process is used for separating and shaping steel components.Flame cutting has the advantage of being very portable as no power supplies are needed. A cylinder for oxygen, a cylinder for fuel gas, hoses, a torch, and a striker are all that are required. This makes it an excellent choice for field work. Another benefit of flame cutting is that it can cut very thick metals Super cut Welding. Super Cut's Crossbow is a compact CNC cutting system that is portable and economical. Crossbow can be equipped with plasma, oxy-fuel or both. With plasma, Crossbow can cut mild steel or aluminum up to 20 mm (3/4 in.), or stainless steel up to 15 mm (5/8 in.)
