Dual Heating: Elements are typically placed in both the top and bottom plates to ensure the dough is "half-cooked" during the pressing stage, which prevents it from sticking later. Adjustability: Commercial units allow you to control the pressing time and plate gap, giving you flexibility over the final thickness and diameter of the chapati. Mobility: Units like the SCMG 1000 come with 4-inch castor wheels with brakes, making them easy to move for cleaning or storage. 3. Operational Requirements Power: Small to medium units usually run on 220V Single Phase, while large industrial conveyor models may require 440V Three Phase power. Air Pressure: Some semi-automatic "pneumatic" models require an external air compressor for the pressing mechanism. Maintenance: Since these involve high heat, the plates must be cleaned daily with a soft scraper to remove carbonized dough particles.
