Copper-clad steel (CCS), also known as copper-covered steel or the trademarked name Copperweld is a bi-metallic product, mainly used in the wire industry that combines the high mechanical resistance of steel with the conductivity and corrosion resistance of copper.Copper clad steel ground rod are made of high-quality steel covered with 99.9% electrolytic copper molecular. The steel core is low carbon content is about 0.15%. It is a very uniform copper layer and a thickness of 0.254mm or more. Products have the conductive properties of copper and the tensile strength of steel.Copper clad steel is steel covered in Copper.
