ERCoCr-C is a high-performance, cobalt-based Stellite alloy (often designated as Co 1) designed for hardfacing and used to protect components against extreme high-temperature wear, corrosion, oxidation, and thermal fatigue. It retains high hardness at elevated temperatures and is known for excellent resistance to abrasive, adhesive, and erosive wear, though it has higher crack sensitivity due to its high hardness. Key Characteristics Cobalt-Based Alloy:The primary component is cobalt, contributing to its superior wear and heat resistance. Stellite 1:It is a specific type of cobalt-based alloy, often referred to as Stellite 1, known for its exceptional properties. High-Temperature Performance:The deposit maintains its hardness and strength at high temperatures, making it ideal for severe environments. Wear Resistance:It offers excellent resistance to a wide range of wear types, including abrasion, erosion, and galling. Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance:Provides strong protection against corrosive environments and high-temperature oxidation.
