ERNiMo-3 is a high-performance nickel-based filler metal classified under AWS A5.14, used for welding nickel-chromium-molybdenum (Ni-Cr-Mo) alloys to themselves and to steels. It offers excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, along with good high-temperature strength and creep resistance. Common applications include the aerospace and power generation industries for tasks such as aircraft engine repair, cladding steel, and welding piping systems and furnace equipment. Key characteristics Material:High-performance nickel-based filler metal. Composition:Primarily nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, with the third digit in the name indicating a serial number for different compositions within the Ni-Cr-Mo category. Properties:Provides moderate strength, high corrosion and oxidation resistance, and creep resistance.
