FRP stands for fiberglass reinforced plastic. It Is a material that is made up of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. At Piping Technology, we provide FRP wear pads that are fabricated from FRP pipe. These pads are secured to pipes using an epoxy adhesive.Today the use of FRP machine made piping has grown from its original major use in oil field gathering lines to applications ranging from handling flammable and combustible liquids at retail consumer facilities to sewer and water mains in the municipal and industrial markets.Fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP; also called fibre-reinforced polymer, or in American English fiber) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibres. The fibres are usually glass (in fibreglass), carbon (in carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer), aramid, or basalt.An FRP composite consists of a plastic resin or polymer matrix and a fiber. The fiber may be anything from glass to recycled carpet flooring, depending on target properties of the material.
