HDPE pipe is a flexible plastic pipe made of thermoplastic high-density polyethylene widely used for low-temperature fluid and gas transfer. In recent times, HDPE pipes got their extensive uses for carrying potable water, hazardous wastes, various gases, slurry, firewater, stormwater, etc.It is based on the exothermic polymerization reaction of the ethylene in hexane using titanium / aluminum alkyle based catalyst. This technology is known as “slurry type” process and Petkim HDPE Plant is operated with the license of Mitsui CX Proces.High density polyethylene (HDPE) piping systems have been used for municipal and industrial water applications for over 50 years. Within PPI's Building & Construction Division, HDPE pipes are used for ground source geothermal applications, also known as earth energy or geoexchange systems.
