Product Details
ER70S-6 is a common MIG (GMAW) welding wire designed for welding carbon and carbon-manganese steels, featuring high levels of manganese and silicon for excellent deoxidizing power, enabling welding on moderately dirty, oily, or rusty surfaces. It produces a smooth, porosity-free weld with good bead appearance, minimal spatter, and high fluidity, making it suitable for various applications like construction, truck bodies, and general fabrication. It requires a shielding gas, such as 100% CO2 or an Argon/CO2 mix, for optimal performance. Key Characteristics High Deoxidizer Content:Contains high amounts of manganese (Mn) and silicon (Si), acting as deoxidizers to remove oxides and impurities from the weld pool. Improved Weldability:The high deoxidizer content allows for welding on surfaces with moderate amounts of scale, rust, or oil, improving weldability in these conditions.
