A wide range of cereals and millets used for puffing such as rice, wheat, corn, sorghum, and ragi.Three types of pori, or puffed rice: nel pori (made from whole, unhusked paddy), ordinary rice pori, and aval pori (made from beaten rice, or aval/poha), Puffed rice is a type of short-grain rice that has been puffed or compressed using air. Puffed rice is denser and chewier than regular long-grain white rice and has a nutty flavor. It's also more nutritious because it contains high levels of fiber and vitamin B6.Murmura is widely used in breakfast cereals puffed rice cakes. It is also a popular street food in many parts of the world. Murmura is blended with jaggery and made into chikki along with the addition of nuts.Puffed grains are grains that have been expanded ("puffed") through processing. They have been made for centuries with the simplest methods like popping popcorn.
