DESCRIPTION

Ravi International’s Ointment / Cream Manufacturing Plant is a fully integrated, GMP-designed system engineered for the production of ointments, creams, gels, lotions, and similar semi-solid formulations. The plant ensures homogeneous mixing, uniform particle size reduction, precise temperature control, and contamination-free processing—ideal for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, ayurvedic, and personal-care applications.

The system typically consists of:

  • Wax Phase Vessel (Oil Heating Vessel)

  • Water Phase Vessel

  • Main Manufacturing Vessel (Vacuum Emulsifier / Planetary Mixer)

  • Interconnecting Pipelines

  • Vacuum System

  • Lobe Pump / Transfer Pump

  • Working Platform & Control Panel


WORKING PRINCIPLE

  1. Preparation of Aqueous Phase
    The water phase vessel heats, mixes, and dissolves water-soluble ingredients. Temperature is accurately monitored through sensors.

  2. Preparation of Wax / Oil Phase
    The wax-melting vessel melts waxes, oils, and oil-soluble ingredients through controlled heating and slow agitation to avoid burn marks.

  3. Transfer to Main Manufacturing Vessel
    Both phases are transferred into the main vessel under vacuum to avoid air entrapment and maintain product clarity.

  4. Homogenization & Emulsification
    A high-shear homogenizer breaks down particles, reduces droplet size, and creates a stable emulsion.
    The mixer ensures uniform blending between the oil and water phases.

  5. Deaeration Under Vacuum
    Vacuum removes entrapped air, prevents foaming, and improves product texture, density, and shelf life.

  6. Cooling & Final Mixing
    The jacketed main vessel cools the product to the desired temperature while the anchor stirrer ensures uniformity during cooling.

  7. Transfer to Storage or Filling Machine
    The finished cream/ointment is transferred using a hygienic lobe pump to storage tanks or automatic filling lines.
